The InterSCity project seeks outstanding post-doctoral research fellows to work on themes related to the Future Internet and Smart Cities. InterSCity is a large consortium of researchers from top Brazilian universities, working in the fields of Distributed Systems, Middleware, Networking, Software Engineering, and other areas related to the Future Internet and Smart Cities.
This call will select candidates interested in receiving a Fellowship from FAPESP to carry out advanced scientific research at the University of São Paulo (USP) in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, or at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), in the city of Goiânia, Brazil.
InterSCity is seeking proactive, energetic researchers with solid knowledge and experience in Distributed Systems to tackle research challenges on multiple aspects of Future Internet and Smart Cities science and technology being carried out by the Distributed Systems research groups at USP and UFG, under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Kon and Prof. Fabio Costa, respectively.
The first fellowship, to be implemented at USP – São Paulo, focuses on Smart City Software Platforms and Data Science for Smart Cities, with the following research topics:
The second fellowship, to be implemented at UFG – Goiânia, focuses on Middleware for Smart Cities and Smart Environments in general, with the following research topics:
Selected candidates will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship to work collaboratively with other members of the InterSCity project at USP and UFG.

The CV should include the list of his/her most relevant publications and recently developed software systems, clearly relating the candidate’s previous research and development experience with the Statement of Research Interest.
The Statement of Research Interest should be 5 pages maximum and related to one or more of the above topics, as applicable.
